I’ve gotta say… I’ve been really enjoying cooking for my friend who agreed to buy me the digital camera of my choice for 2 meals a week for the next three months. It’s only been about a month so far and it’s been great. It motivates me to not get lost in school and work and set aside time to cook, which is very meditative for me. This week, I made him a sampler bag of some things I’ve prepared, which includes:
- 4 multi-grain brown sugar cookies with milk chocolate and toffee covered popcorn and dark chocolate
- 6 wontons (to fry), he caught me right as I was making these so I decided to give him a few
- 1 serving of whole wheat penne with zucchini, langostine tails, and roasted leek confit
- 1 serving of grass-fed flank steak and farmer’s market veggie stir fryIt’s been seriously rewarding, as he seems very eager for more food with each and every week. If any of you in the Chicago area would like to make a deal with me similar to this one, let me know! :)
